DIY Boy's game board

I have saw the picture of the board in Pinterest, and quickly determine to make one for my boy. He loves to play the switch, so a switch is a must.

I am very lucky to have an Eco shop nearby, so all the items I have bought at RM 2.12 per piece. Such a bargain.

Resepi playdoh homemade

Dah lama simpan resepi nak buat playdoh ni.
Tapi next time kena kurangkan air sebanyak satu cawan atau kurang lagi.

My current obsession- quiet book

A friend of mine upload her quiet book that she had made for her kids and I was mesmerized.

I quickly googled and there were abundant ideas in the web. Looking forward to make some of them. The idea of a quiet book is that a child can play by herself and it is a great sensory and discovery play too.

Here are the google images of the quiet book.

Still looking for opportunity to create this.

Review mesin laminate biosystem

Akhirnya dapat juga beli mesin laminate nih. Sebelum ni sat nak beli n sat tak mau beli.

Beli online saja.

Plastik laminate ni jenama samson rm30. Di group fb teachercollection shop tu ada yang jual rm20 aja jenama pineapple, tapi memandangkan kos pos n saya nak kgerak segera, beli ajalah kat kedai biasa nih.

My review : first impression ringan berbanding dengan mesin laminate di pss saya. Dan takda butang pon nak adjust kepanasan dia. Cuma tunggu lampu ready tu menyala saja.

Ni kakak nurin super excited nak laminate bahan frozen dia.

Learning Shapes

the original page is here.

Shape Activities for Toddlers (printable)

My toddler has been spending a lot of time exploring shapes lately.  I wanted some super simple “craft” ideas that didn’t require a lot of preparation on my part to fill those random fussy moments when we need *something* new to do.  I made some simple shape outlines that we could use as a starting point for these activities.
Try some of these easy ideas to set up an opportunity to create and talk about shapes at the same time!
Color the shapes –  It doesn’t get any simpler or no-prep than this!  Provide a variety of coloring materials and allow your little Picasso to color (in, on, around) the shape.  My daughter seems to LOVE  colored pencils lately, but crayons or washable markers are also a hit.  Or, to change it up a bit, put it in a page protector and let your little one use a dry-erase marker to color and re-color the shape.
Stickers –  Whip out some stickers from your stash (dollar stores are a great place to stock up!) and encourage your little one to put stickers inside the shape or on the outline (depending on their ability level).  I was really surprised how well Sophie did when I encouraged her to put her stickers inside the square – we had never done anything like that before and she did a great job!
Playdoh –  Stick the template inside a page protector and help them roll playdoh into “snakes” and outline the shape.  Or, if your child is like mine and making little balls is the playing method of choice, count little playdoh balls as they place them inside the shape.
Paint –  Painting is a sure-fire way to stave off a tantrum in our house.  The easiest way for me is to get out the Do-A-Dot paints, but finger painting, painting with a paintbrush, or using other random items to paint is also lots of fun.  We have used sponges or cotton balls, but you could also use a feather or leaf, a toilet paper roll molded into a shape, or even plastic shapes from shape sorters as a stamp.
Stamp –  Grab a washable ink pad and a fun stamp or two and allow your little ones to decorate the shape with their stamps.
Glue –  Gluing is probably the favorite “craft” for my daughter.  You can either fill the shape with something like tissue or construction paper pieces, or help your little ones outline the shape with something fun like pasta, candy pieces, or beans.  My daughter will help me “squeeze” the liquid glue along the outline and then place the objects along the glue.  Again, I was surprised how well she did this when given the opportunity.  The possibilities for this are endless!

You have to go to the original page to get the shape template or just draw one ypurself.

Nurin's activity : using cloth pegs

Another learning activity tonight for Nurin was using the clothes pegs.

The action of squeezing the pegs was a great way for a psycomotor training for her little fingers.

She was using the fold cloth board and I can really tell that she enjoyed the activity very much.

Furthermore, to my astonishment she later counted the pegs. Without my instructions.

My lovely kids

Nurin got hold of her old uno cards and enjoyed them immensely.

She used them to say the numbers, to identify the colors and what I love the most, reciting and flashing the cards to her baby brother.

Aktiviti Nurin : menampal sticker

Best toddler activities websites

Here are two education and fun websites that offers huge activities, free printables and ideas. These are my future references.

http://theimaginationtree.com/

http://activity-mom.com/

I have been exploded by magnificent amount of ideas and can't wait to try it to my kids.

Toddler activities

Here are the activities that I took from this website as my guide.I will try to record as much activities that I could that I will done with Nurin (turning 3 yrs old this upcoming Dec).

1) Dump and Put:

Toddlers love to dump bins of toys all over the floor, but they love to 'put' things in containers as well. Why not make a game of it?

I store toys separated by 'type' in fabric bins so that they are easy to locate when my son wants to play with them, and easy to put away when he is done. I also started having him learn to put things away when he could sit up and put toys in containers. He had one bin and a few toys that were his responsibility and he liked putting them back in the box. Of course, sometimes he would dump them back out, but it was the practice that counted!
